The Top Swimsuit Styles and Swimwear Trends of 2018 are Here

Welcome back to swim season.

Maybe things are starting to thaw where you are; maybe you’re even replenishing your vitamin D levels someplace sunny.

Fresh off our look at the top picks of bra-sized, plus-size and shaping swimwear newness, Bare Necessities is now adding a select handful of fab new swimwear brands with massive crossover appeal and a major emphasis on contemporary fashion.

“We want to be the swimwear destination for customers of every size who expect quality and support in the season’s latest trends,” says swim buyer Megan Puma, who curated the assortment headed your way.

Here are some of the top swimwear trends for 2018:

Trending colors for the 2018 swim season promise to be:

And here are the new-to-Bare Necessities brands Megan is most excited about introducing to your swim wardrobe this season:

Azura Far East Wire-Free Bikini

AZURA
This Australian brand knows its way around swimwear. It first launched in the U.S. last year. The fun, fashionable prints like sophisticated florals are for everybody: They come in underwire, push-ups and cup-sized cups from A-C and DD-E, in on-trend prints and cuts; the cute one-pieces come in dress sizes 4-14.

Kenneth Cole All Meshed Up Wire-Free One-Piece

KENNETH COLE
One of the biggest, boldest, best names in the sportswear and accessories world is vying for the same standing in swimwear this season. We’re bringing together an assortment of sexy one-pieces in sizes small to extra-large.

STUDIO ANNE COLE
If Anne Cole is the older sister, Studio Anne Cole is the irreverent little sis. We love the retro boy-cut leg lines and tops with no-show padding or shelf bras that make these cleverly printed suits as stylish as they are smart. The one-pieces come in dress sizes; tankinis and bikinis are small to extra-large.

Studio Anne Cole What the Shell Wire-Free One-Piece

BLEU ROD BEATTIE
From a seasoned swimwear designer known for a laser-like focus on quality come these sexy, modern one-pieces for the woman who wants to be chic and comfortable (sooo, everyone). They’re fashionable with comfy coverage, thanks to fuller-cut bottoms and wire-free wrap tops. The Oh So Knotty deep plunge one-piece is a hot seller; we also adore the one-shouldered one-piece with grommets. The tops range from C-DD to band-and-cup-sized.

CARMEN MARC VALVO
Look no further for designer sophistication in a variety of silhouettes. The evening gown genius translates that same red carpet ethos to the pool in the form of beautifully draped, twisted, detailed and peek-a-boo one-pieces. Consider the one-shoulder and the sophisticated cutouts. No surprise here: These swimsuits are dress-sized.
